Agreement
These terms apply when you use the Creaturely mobile application or this website. By using Creaturely, you agree to use it lawfully and in a way that does not interfere with other people, systems, or services.
If you do not agree with these terms, do not use Creaturely.
What Creaturely provides
Creaturely is a free, local-first journal for information you choose to record about animals in your care. Features can include profiles, observations, measurements, medication records, reminders, documents, trends, exports, and backups.
You are responsible for deciding what to enter, checking its accuracy, and keeping any copies you need. Creaturely does not verify user-entered information.
Veterinary and safety disclaimer
Creaturely is not a diagnostic tool, medical device, emergency service, or substitute for a veterinarian. It does not diagnose, predict, treat, or confirm the health of an animal.
Measurements, trends, and reminders are record-keeping aids. They can be incomplete, delayed, or affected by how information was entered. If you are worried about an animal, contact a veterinarian. For an urgent concern, use an appropriate veterinary emergency service rather than relying on the app or a notification.
Your information and responsibilities
You retain responsibility for the journal content, photos, and documents you add. Only add information that you have the right to store and share. Protect the device and any exported copies in a way that fits the sensitivity of the information.
Do not post real animal health records, personal documents, or Creaturely backups in public support issues. Use synthetic or carefully redacted examples when reporting a problem.
Backups, exports, and third-party services
System share sheets, file providers, Apple CloudKit, Google Drive, GitHub, app stores, and other external services are operated by their respective providers. Their availability, security, and terms are outside Creaturely's control.
Test important backups before depending on them. Keep more than one copy when the record matters. Optional cloud recovery is not a promise of continuous sync or permanent storage.
Open-source license
Creaturely's source code is free software under the GNU General Public License version 3. Your rights to copy, study, modify, and distribute the software are governed by that license, which is available in the public repository.
The Creaturely name, logos, and other brand assets are not automatically licensed for use as the identity of a different product merely because the application code is open source.
Availability and changes
Creaturely may change as the project develops. Features can be added, revised, or removed, and support for operating-system versions can change. There is no guarantee that every feature will always be available on every device.
Warranty and liability
Creaturely is provided without warranties to the extent permitted by law. Vector42 does not guarantee that the software will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for a particular medical, legal, or record-retention purpose.
To the extent permitted by law, Vector42 is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss arising from use of Creaturely, reliance on reminders or records, loss of local data, or use of an external service. Rights that cannot legally be excluded remain in effect.
Changes and contact
These terms may be updated as Creaturely changes. A revised effective date will appear at the top of this page.
